Lynn Finocchi, RDH MS, has enjoyed a varied dental hygiene career and continues to practice the profession she loves. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s dental hygiene program, she worked in private practice before resuming her studies at Thomas Jefferson University. While pursuing her baccalaureate degree in dental hygiene, she was asked to join the program’s faculty as a Clinical Instructor.
During that time, she authored the article “Breast Feeding; Bottle Feeding and Their Impact on Oral Habits: A Review of the Literature” which was published in the Journal of Dental Hygiene. After induction into the Sigma Phi Alpha and Alpha Eta honor societies, Lynn graduated from TJU and continued on with her dental hygiene education at Columbia University.
She earned a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene, receiving the Patricia McLean Award for highest academic honors at graduation. Shortly thereafter she joined NJDHA’s Board of Trustees, serving as Chairperson of Computer Services. Lynn has practiced clinical dental hygiene in general, pediatric, and periodontal practice settings. She is an avid skier and a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America. Lynn relishes her time spent with her husband, daughters, extended family, and friends.
